Kick sampling involves collecting invertebrates in a net from a river and then using that sample to identify which ones are present in that section of the river. It offers a good indication of how healthy the river and it is also fascinating to see the range of wildlife occuring, usually out of sight.
Wellies will be needed, as we will be going into a shallow part of the river to collect the sample.
This is an adults only session, however we do offer river dipping activities for children during school holidays. Please get in touch if you would like more details.
