Are you passionate about supporting small community groups? We are a group who support stroke survivors and their loved ones, we meet every Wednesday at 10.00-12.00 in the pensioners hall in Ammanford.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to commit to regular meetings to help us support our group, ideally weekly, although this could also be on a rota basis.

We require assistance with;

  • Setting up the tables and chairs before the group arrive.
  • Help with making and serving the teas and coffees
  • Lending an ear, a helping hand and sharing a brew with our members
  • Help clearing the cups etc and sharing dishwashing duties

 *There are NO personal care responsibilities

Ideally you would be keen to help with all the activities, however if you feel like you could help with some and not others then please reach out to us.  We are a small friendly group in which lifelong friendships have been made.

One of our volunteers says this about volunteering with us “It gives you such a great feel-good factor, you meet new friends and do activities you never you did before, I urge anyone to join as a volunteer”.
