I started out as a hairdresser and am fully qualified.
I have worked for many years as a carer in residential homes and in the community in my home county of Wiltshire, working for the council as a care officer. I have done a lot of training for this role. I also worked in the private sector in a nursing home.
My role as a health visitors assistant for a local health authority was another interesting job and I did a lot of training for this too.
Laterly I worked for the Inland Revenue front of house which was often a very challenging role.
Ultimately I worked for the MOD with the military at the height of the Afgan war which at times was very upsetting and challenging.
I married a soldier in the 1970's and lived all my life in a garrison town. Together we have retired to Wales to be near our son and his family.
